Helmet Band-its

A person could find all kinds of different products at the SIA (Snowsports Industry Association) show. There are the tried and true skis and snowboards that are big brand names, there are accessories like Beat by Dr. Dre, boots, poles, socks and more. There are also all kinds of apparel and accessories.

Helmet Band-its looked pretty cool. A way to dress up your look so you could easily transition and "fit in" when you are in Vail as much as when you are at Keystone. (In my head Vail is where the "rich folks" go and Keystone customers are more...down to earth). The Helmet Band-it is a simple piece of fur that has velcro on it making it easy to dress up your look. It can be worn as a headband (alone), on your helmet or worn as a shawl. You can also purchase the arm cuffs.

I tried it. The fur was a luxurious feel and very soft. It was too short to lay right as a shawl on me. (I'm not a giant person - I usually wear small or medium), it didn't fit around my helmet and was too big to wear as a headband (where the fur is and where the velcro is is not really adjustable). It was a nice day when I tried it - but I would be curious to see how well the fur's texture is maintained in a snowstorm.

While in concept in and in the photos of their press information it looked pretty cool. I would say don't waste your money.

*Discloure: I was given the product free to test.
