Judith is testimony of the healing that manifests through faith and Christian music. She lost her son during the prime of his life. Judy wrote He still knows Your name (dedicated to her son Stephen Harkins) in an effort to reach out to other parents struggling through the loss of a child.
Within the pages of her book, she offers hope and inspiration reflective of her personal story, thoughts, prayer, bible verses and religious songs. It is very clear that this book was written from the heart.
Judy’s words from the book, “My hope is that this information will help others to know and feel the comfort and peace that comes from the unending love, hope and faith through the Lord and Savior.”
Her book tagline, “A healing journey through song.”
Relative to her loss, she shares, “I will never be fixed, there will always be a part of me broken, but with the love, hope and faith through God, I can learn to live with my brokenness.”
The connection Judy made with music and the lyrics gave life to her feelings, and this enabled an emotional response to songs in her time of need. This allowed her to embrace the feelings, as hard as they were, and to release them.
She did an absolute wonderful job compiling and sharing the resources that helped her cope through the grieving process.
It is a great book to gift someone who is suffering through loss.
