Hawkes 2012 Home Chardonnay

Spring has arrived and it is time for lighter wines. A great buy that I recently stumbled on is the 2012 Home Chardonnay from Hawkes. There is great consistency from nose to palate. This wine is crisp with intense green apple aromas and flavors. Not your typical California Chardonnay, the Hawkes 2012 Home Chardonnay does not undergo malolactic fermentation, creating a crisper wine. A great buy at only $20, I know I will be enjoying this wine on my patio this season!

Cheers!
