While regretting everything from St. Patty's Day you did wrong. Like falling face down in a flaming Irish coffee at the expense of your eyebrows. While you discuss with a leprechaun how Irish your liver is, while properly cooking a potato, as you're downing some Baileys Irish Car Bombs.

Instead, Be Green... Be Seen in Lincoln Park, Chicago today, Saturday March 15 2014 and join in the celebration. Of The 14th Annual St. Paddy's 5K & 8K Run/Walk. Which is always a spring favorite among Chicago's running community. Runners it's an excellent way to kick off your 2014 outdoor running season!

You'll not only celebrate fitness and achievement holiday weekend but also enjoy an Irish-themed area. Where participants and sponsors will party to live music both before and after the runs will be a great way to start your St. Patrick's weekend, along with authentic refreshments.

St. Paddy's Day, 5K/8K Run/Walk, is to support the Greater Chicago Food Depository, is Chicago’s nonprofit food center providing food for hungry people in 650 pantries, soup kitchens, shelters. Visit chicagosfoodbank.org.

Like dyeing the Chicago River Green, the festivities start at 10 a.m. on March 15th this year, at the one and only Chicago River downtown.Which brings huge crowds and is fun for all ages. Chicagoan's watch the 45 pounds of green dye is poured in the river at Columbus Drive and the best viewing.The color on the east side of the Michigan Ave. bridge, lasts for about 5 hours, so don't miss out!

Because that signals the start of Chicago Saint Patrick's Day Parade,a celebration that includes marching bands, men in kilts, and colorful floats. The fun starts at noon on March 15th,is also telecast on WGN, the parade route goes along Columbus, from Balbo to Monroe Drive.

After word, enjoy a St. Patrick's Day River Cruise with Shoreline Sightseeing on the green river and have the best spot to watch the action with a cold Guinness in hand! It's a great St. Patrick's Day Cruise which is a 90 minute tour down the historic Chicago River. Included is a traditional Irish buffet, and favorite Irish drinks. Cruises are open air, so be sure to bundle up in something warm and green.

There's Irish pubs to to get your drink on... this St. Patty's Day, where you'll enjoy a tasty Guinness, or two, or three. Drink green beer, and wake up with an Irish coffee. Only on the Saint Patricks Day pub crawl, which goes from noon to 7 p.m. and starts at Clarkes Bar & Grille. Where you'll visit Fado Irish Pub,Mcfaddens, and the Kerryman.

Enjoy a family friendly event, to bring the kids.The South Side Parade starts at noon on Sunday March 16th, so if you didn't drink too much at the Saturday parade, check out the South Side Irish Parade.The route starts at 103rd St. and proceeds down Western Avenue, ending at 115th St.

In case you choose to make the weekend of it since parking is a pain.Skip the whole ordeal and find a hotel in downtown Chicago that is walking distance to the fun.
