You might easily drive by without noticing Aroma Royal Thai Restaurant if you don't keep your eye out for it. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off of route 27 in Franklin Park. It may not look like much from the outside, but once you walk through the doors you are transported to beautiful, exotic Thailand. The decor is very authentic as is the food.
The menu at Aroma is extensive and incorporates all the national flavors of Thailand which are listed on the first page of the menu for those who are new to Thai cuisine. Appetizers and starters include traditional favorites like tom kha kai soup, som tum (Thai papaya salad), and chicken satays with peanut sauce. There is also an appetizer sampler which comes with chicken satays, vegetable spring rolls, their famous paper shrimp rolls and three different dipping sauces. For your entree, choose from classic Thai rice and noodle dishes like pad see ew (flat noodles, Chinese broccoli and your choice of meat) or chile garlic fried rice or go with one of Thailand's famous curry dishes. The menu also includes a "grill" section which includes things like a lemon grass pork chop and marinated grilled duck breast.
