HairTherapyWrap - cordless turban heat wrap

The HairTherapyWrap is a cordless turban heat wrap for deep conditioning and hydration. Not only can it be used for deep conditioning, but for hot oil and other scalp treatments as well.

According to the HairTherapyWrap website, the HairTherapyWrap was invented by Michelle Reuven out of her necessity to moisturize her dry hair combined with the fact, like most of us, she did not like being confined to sit under the dreaded hot electric hooded hairdryer.

I feel the most unique aspect of the HairTherapyWrap is that it is cordless. It comes with 3 gel packs that can be either heated via boiling water or microwave and it only takes a few seconds for the packs to heat up.

I used the HairTherapyWrap for a deep conditioning treatment. I opted to use the microwave method to heat up my cap. Using this method, I was able to place the entire cap in the microwave to heat.

If the boiling water method is used, the gel packs alone must be submerged into the water then inserted into the cap, but again a few moments is all they need. In fact, the HairTherapyWrap only uses 1/10th of energy to heat compared to an electric heat cap or hairdryer.

The directions stated to heat the cap in the microwave for no more than 45 seconds. I put the cap in for 32 seconds, tested it for temperature then placed it back in the microwave for 10 more seconds and it was perfect.

I was very pleased that the process of using the HairTherapyWrap was very quick and easy from start to finish.

The HairTherapyWrap came with a disposable plastic cap as well. After washing my hair, I applied conditioner then covered my hair with the plastic cap.

After inserting the gel packs, and heating up my wrap in the microwave, I placed it over the plastic cap on my head and left it on for 20 minutes as per the directions.

Again, since the cap is cordless I was free to move around with it on as I conditioned my hair, which was wonderful. The wrap was comfortable and also light enough that it only took a few moments after I placed it on to adjust to the weight of it.

After the allotted 20 minutes, I removed the wrap, the plastic cap and rinsed the conditioner from my hair. My hair was very soft and moisturized and I was able to detangle it with my hands.

I was very happy with the results and plan to incorporate using the wrap in my monthly conditioning routine.

The HairTherapyWrap can be purchased online and at local drug stores and beauty supply stores (see website below for retailers). It retails for under $30 and comes with a 30 day money-back guarantee. Insert refills can also be purchased.

All in all, the HairTherapyWrap does exactly what its website states - results in soft and silky hair in just 4 easy steps. I feel that it is a must-have staple for all hair types.
