After years of haircuts for my son at home, I decided to ask around and try out some professional hair places in the Evanston/North Shore area. I received the following recommendations:
- Pigtails & Crewcuts in the Glen - $18-$25
- Jerry's Barber shop (633 Greenbay in Wilmette) - $9
- Pivot Point in the Rotary building in Evanston - $7
- Kid Snips in Wilmette - $16-$20
In the end, for my son, we ended up at the Hair Cuttery in Evanston where a kids' cut is only $10. For Hair Cuttery, Tessa is amazing! I love that the Saturday hours are 8am - 8pm. My son and husband were able to score a 8:30am appointment with Tessa and she was great. Within half an hour, both guys were done with great stylish haircuts.
She handled my 3yo son just fine and despite him moving around a bit, she gave great attention to detail and kept him occupied with asking him questions. My husband has been on the search for a decent place to give him a professional and neat cut since he has longish hair. Tessa did a great job and kept asking additional questions to make sure that his cut was exactly what he wanted.
