Arriving at her beautiful Union street office, I was immediately soothed by Gunilla’s gentle demeanor and expert hands. My facial included microdermabrasian and extraction, but honestly, the only thing I remember is her amazing facial massage and the incredible smell of her hand-crafted oils. I loved how she used a hand fan to cool my face after applying various masks and the hand and foot massage was also ultra-deluxe. Proof that magic had happened was evident in my skin, which looked and felt wonderful for days afterwards.
I was lucky enough to be able to continue the Gunilla experience at home with her hand-blended organic facial oils. This collection of four oils (Hydrate, Balance, Rejuvenate and Soothe) is designed to heal and nourish the skin. The “Hydrate” oil, with rose, ylang ylang and sandalwood smells so good I just want to drink it. I love to rub a bit into my hands before applying to my face and breathe in the fragrant aromas. I also am blown away by how quickly the oils absorb into the skin. I’ve tried many facial oils in the past and because I have such oily skin, I usually only use them at night before I go to bed. Gunilla’s oils absorb almost immediately, so I’m able to apply them in the day time and not worry about walking around looking like I’ve just been cooking over a greasy stove.
