'Guild Wars 2' review

As a former World of Warcraft player I have always been picky when it comes to the MMO genre. I have tried a few free to play games available but never really found anything I liked as much as World of Warcraft before things were simplified to the point I felt there was no challenge anymore.

A few months back I saw "Guild Wars 2" on sale for $45. I took a shot in the dark and bought it, with low expectations as I didn't like the original Guild Wars at all. To my surprise, I fell in love from day one.

First off, no subscription fee. So when I don't play a lot that month I am not wasting any money. One of my favorite aspects of the game is that my wife and myself can play together on any character. Level 40 playing with a level 10? Both get plenty of XP while having fun playing together. This will give more incentive to explore the whole world not just the areas your leveling in.

If you can make money in game you don't have to spend a dime on micro transactions! You can trade your in game Gold for Gems on the Trading Post. This is an awesome feature that takes away the free to play/micro-transaction feel to the game.

"Guild Wars 2" is a MUST buy for any MMO fan out there. 60 dollars and never pay another cent for this game.
