Grove Pastry Shop at 3308 Main Street, in Lemon Grove is a truly fine bakery. They offer as close to a “full line” of bakery goods as I’ve seen so far. They offer all the usual goodies like, éclairs, Danish, bear claws, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, full loaves of great tasting breads and much more.
Take a trip to Lemon Grove and you’ll find a city looking revitalized. The utility lines have gone underground. The business district is in good repair. The place looks like it must have in the 1950s, complete with the same building hosting the Pastry Shop. The building is a charming Spanish style structure with the best mural painted on the side of the building that I’ve ever seen (great artwork). Inside you’ll find a clean, pleasant environment for the purchase of your treats. Service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable.
My partner purchased an apple pie, cherry Danish, chocolate chip cookies, and they were all very good. They do great looking specialty cakes. Prices are good for the consumer. This place almost makes me wish I could do a wedding for my unmarried daughter because the cakes look that good!
I enjoy spiced foods with plenty of heat for the mouth and I definitely can recommend their jalapeño bread for the fix would be in. Give Grove Pastry Shop a look next time you’re in that neck of the woods. It’s got to be worth at least four stars.
