Grand opening of Forever21 on Lincoln Road

How honored was I after receiving an invite to preview Forever21's new store and merchandise at a press only breakfast and preview? Extremely, thankyouverymuch.

Media--like yours truly, Editor for DailyCandy and ElectricBlogrella creator, Ginger Harris, and Stephanie Ruiz of MidtownChica--were treated to breakfast courtesy of St. Paul's.

After previewing the behemoth store, I was astonished. It was as if Forever21’s extensive website had finally come into real world fruition.

In a nutshell, as far as the vendor is considered, the goal for their newly built store in Miami Beach is simple: world domination.

The women's apparel retailer has taken on an ambitious task, i.e., to dress important milestones of a young woman's life by encapsulating each section of its 37,800 square feet behemoth with its own theme.

Did it deliver? Quite frankly, yes.

Pretty Woman
Take for instance, the store's first floor entrance section: It's an homage to the fashion forward woman. This woman is characterized by her sheer unadulterated knowledge of runway trends. Thus, this section is filled with of-the-moment pieces and impressive designer replicas. Some noteworthy trends are explored like ultra-feminine and resort wear in the form of peplum tops, mini dresses, tailored skinny leg trousers, A-line mini skirts, blousons, chunky knits like sweaters, and blazers. Trends are magnified by featuring minimalist coloring such as turquoise and coral pastels, periwinkle blue, nudes, and fabrics like lace, and polka dots for lady-like flair.

Working Gal
Because Forever21 understands a large portion of their shoppers transitioned into the white-collared workforce, they feature modern chic apparel that can go from work to play in seconds. The collection spotlights structured and uniformed pieces like trousers, outerwear, and pencil skirts in professional-friendly colors like royal and navy blue. For added elegance, apparels like blazers, blouses, and knee-length peplum skirts are accenctuated with subtle gold embellishments.

Sex, Lies, & Videotape
Remember your early twentys? The look was rebellious youth, as in denim, cropped tops, curve-hugging jeans, and cut-out tops. Located on the first floor, shoppers can channel their inner Rihanna and 90s glam grunge mash-up by wearing distress denim, pleather studded bustiers, leopard print leggings, denim cut-off shorts and more.

Le Freak C'est Chic
Since we're strolling down memory lane, recall those fun vacations with your girlfriends in the Caribbean that resulted in you buying colored tops, mini dresses, and so forth? Relive those moments on the second floor, a region apt "for the intergalactic woman." (I kid you not; this section is loaded with bright clothing, reminiscent of a Skittles candy color palette.) Thus, it's stocked with an assortment of neon-colored apparel, specialty tailored for Miami's Caribbean & Latin America-influenced market.

Hot Tamale
Speaking of vacays, the store carries a collection of ombre and tie-dyed swimwear that features a very European take on swimwear, i.e., high-waisted bottoms.

Teenage Love Affair
Do you miss your favorite cartoon characters? Have an inkling to dress like a teenager (or, are you the proud owner of a pre-teen)? Than your mecca lies on the second floor's teeny-bopper section with colorful skinny leg jeans, t-shirts and sweatshirts emblazoned with cartoon characters, and nostalgic accessories (headbands, anyone?).

Girls, Girls, Girls
If you've transitioned into motherhood, and have a daughter between the ages of six and twelve years old she too can shop until she literally drops with you. Filled with the type of clothing only children can get away with (bright tutus, anyone?), your daughter will soon be the talk of the town wearing sparkly leggings and bunny ears.

Let's Get Physical
Remain physically fit well into your thirties (or just look really cute dressed in workout gear) by stocking up on colorful workout gear like comfortable sports bras, leggings, yoga pants, and more.

Polo Girl
Not necessarily reflective of every women’s life but definitely part of southern women’s growth, the equestrian look is alive and well on the second floor. Think, stripes, riding pants, blazers, stripe tops, and more.

Men's Club
Give the man in your life’s image a much needed boast by stocking up on gear like vests, denim, v-neck shirts, lumberjack inspired-plaid shirts, and more from the second floor.

Lace & Lust
I'm calling it: soon to be the store's most popular area, the third floor speaks to a woman's ultimate vices, i.e., lingerie, shoes, bags, jewelry, and accessories. Decorated like a boudoir featuring Parisian-inspired white bureaus and vanity tables, the third floor carries an impressive collection of French-inspired froufrou panties, bras, and slips. Its shining qualities are its extensive shoe display that harbors two walls and jewelry loot including statement necklaces, chandelier earrings, and sunglasses.

The store’s grand opening featured a ribbon cutting ceremony that included Ria Michelle of RiaMichelle, Shareen of VintageMavens, and others. Fellow bloggers like Ashley Lorraine of ASassyWoman, Alyssa Blanco of VintageMavens, and Kirstin Marie of KirstinMarie were also in attendance.

Shoppers were treated to a live DJ and complimentary gift cards valued from $10-$210.
