Grab three perfect (and cheap!) courses at NYC Restaurant Week

It's back! New York City is currently playing host to Winter Restaurant Week 2013. This season's culinary offerings are delicious, as always, but the price has increased slightly. Lunches are $25, and dinners are $38. Both are comprised of three courses, and do not include beverages, tax, or tip.

Sprig, located in the base of the famous Lipstick Building at 885 3rd Avenue, is a restaurant participating in Winter Restaurant Week. The dinner menu feels rich and wintery, with a goat cheese fritter to start off, followed by beer braised beef short ribs, and finishing with a chocolate seven layer cake. If you are in the mood for a salad to start, you must order the shaved brussesls sprouts, which is garnished a most delicious Parmesan cheese.

Another restaurant taking part is Nick and Stef's Steakhouse, located in the one and only Madison Square Garden. (9 Penn Plaza, on 33rd near 8th) The dinner menu packs a meaty punch with three different steak cuts to choose from (as well as a Salmon dish). If you're in the mood for a classic New York City steakhouse dinner, start with the onion soup. Follow that up with the 28 day dry aged New York Strip Steak, and finish with the New York Cheesecake. All of that for $38 - you can't go wrong!

Winter Restaurant week 2013 runs until February 8 (Saturdays excluded, Sundays are optional).
