The other day I spied something interesting on the shelf at my local Target - a small prepackaged meal that was gluten-free. Now, you already know how challenging it can be to eat a special diet, especially if you are out and about or traveling. I grabbed the Hummus and Crackers variety and read every word on the box.
Turns out GoPicnic offers many varieties of meals, including vegan, vegetarian, kosher, gluten-free and all-natural. For a small box my meal included a lot of individual items. It even had a Sudoku puzzle inside! It was a terrific surprise to find all the goodies inside (especially the dessert), even though the outer box already told me what was in it. The meals are small and usually under 400 calories, but even if you have two of them you would probably be spending less than at a restaurant or fast food place, not to mention staying true to your dietary needs.
The GoPicnic packaging eliminates the need for refrigeration, even the tuna flavor and turkey and cheese variety. This makes them perfect for sending as a school lunch with your special needs child, bringing along to the beach, a hike or even a day of errands in the car. Take them on an airplane and avoid those overpriced meals and snacks!
The GoPicnic website offers a store locator, or you can buy them directly from the company or on Amazon in six-packs. There is a small discount if you sign up for their subscription service so you will get automatic shipments and never run out.
