Usually you slice fruit with a knife, but not in Fruit Ninja. Your finger is your knife, and you use it to slice all kinds of fruit, including plums, coconuts oranges, apples, pears, and strawberries. There are three games modes in this game, and all of them offer their own variety of fun. In classic mode, a variety of fruit pops up on the screen. You will see three x's in the top right corner of the screen. If you miss a fruit, one of the x's will fill in with a red color. If all three of the x's fill up, you lose the game. If you slice one of the bombs that come up, your game is over. At first only a few fruits pop up; but then after awhile, more fruit begins to pop up along with the bombs. This mode can be quite difficult, and at times take precision timing to just slice the fruit and not touch the bombs. In arcade mode, you have a minute to slice as much fruit as you can. Bombs will also appear here as well, and if you touch them, you lose ten points. Also once the timer ends, a big apple will pop up on the screen, and you can slice it to get a better score. Zen mode is almost similar to Arcade mode, except you get a minute and twenty-nine seconds instead of just a minute. There are alot of backgrounds in the dojo as well as blades to choose from. There is also a fruit store where you could buy all kinds of items, and they are pretty nice. Gutsu's cart has powerups that can help you while playing the game. I find the bomb deflects to be very useful, as well as the berry blasts powerups. So how much fruit can you slice?
