Everyone remembers the classic NBA Jam game for Super Nintendo. You would pick your favorite NBA team, and play a game of two on two in four quarter periods. As you play the game, you could perform killer style moves to get past your opponent, and then finish your shot off with a spectacular slam dunk. You could also use the turbo to zoom past your opponent, and then follow up with a pass to your teammate when he is in mid-air for a slam dunk. Now players can relive these classic moves with NBA Jam for the Ipod Touch. This game features the same great moves found in the Super Nintendo version. There are three game modes in the Ipod Touch version: play now, classic campaign, and multiplayer. With the play now mode, you pick your team after entering your initials, and go right into a game. In the classic campaign game mode, you choose a division and then a team. After making your selection, you compete against thirty-six teams on your quest to become the champion. The multiplayer game mode allows you to play a game with someone if that person has the game on their Ipod Touch. The touch controls are really nice on the Ipod Touch and make the gameplay quite intense. There are gesture controls too, but they are a little complicated to use. To move your player you use the analog stick on the left side of the screen. There are three icons on the right side of the screen that are used to shoot the ball, steal the ball, pass the ball, and use turbo. All of the icons have pictures that can easily identify them. There are alot of great challenges in this game that can be completed by beating all the teams in the classic campaign mode and by playing matches too. The Jam store also has nice packs with additional teams, and the selection is really good. Because this game plays so much like the Super Nintendo version, you could really get addicted to it. So if you played the Super Nintendo version, you defiantly have to give the Ipod Touch version a shot.
