Gavin DeGraw performed at the House of Blues Orlando in Downtown Disney on July 29, 2014, in front of a sold-out venue. The fans waited in line for hours enduring heavy rain at times but in no way did that hamper their spirits. It didn't take long for the House of Blues to be filled to complete capacity before the first set started. Albeit the venue being packed it was still easy to get around and see the performance from almost anywhere in the venue.
Gavin DeGraw appeared on stage donning all black attire and his notorious fedora while standing upon a white podium going straight into his last song, Leading Man. There was an immediate positive crowd reaction to his opening. DeGraw, smiling along with the rest of his band mates, knew at that point it was going to be a great night.
DeGraw used the stage to his advantage by roaming as close as he could to the edge while the ladies swooned and the guys could be sighing and looking the other way. It didn't take much of his charm to warm up the entire venue which was almost like a choir singing backing vocals to all of his music. DeGraw possesses a certain charm. It could be the hint of his New Yorker accent or his ability to connect with his fans so easily. His songwriting ability is top notch which has proved to be a success for many years now.
DeGraw's last release was "Make a Move" (RCA) which was released in October 2013. DeGraw hails from New York and the band's second longest standing member, Billy Norris, is a local man from the Tampa area.
