"Dimir Dementia" is one of five new "Gatecrash" intro packs revealed today Jan. 22, 2013 on www.DailyMTG.com. Like the "Return to Ravnica" intro packs ("Rakdos Raid," "Izzet Ingenuity," "Azorius Advance," "Golgari Growth," and "Selesnya Surge"), each of the new "Gatecrash" intro packs comes with a how to play insert, tip guide, and two unopened "Gatecrash" booster packs for an MSRP of $14.99.
In "Dimir Dementia"
The secretive mind-mages of House Dimir spill the secrets of their enemies—and exploit them for their own advantage. Use the "Dimir Dementia" deck to gain access to the guarded depths of your opponent’s library and reap the rewards.
"Dimir Dementia" comes with two rares: A premium foil Consuming Aberration and Whispering Madness.

If you delight in creating clever plots and schemes, then the "Dimir Dementia" deck may be right for you. It utilizes cards with Cipher, a new mechanic that allows you to encode spells onto creatures to repeat their effect whenever they deal combat damage to an opponent.
The deck works by playing small creatures with evasion that your adversary will have a hard problem blocking, so that you can encode your Cipher spells on them. It doesn't matter if you're only damaging your opopnent in small chunks because you'll eventually win through card advantage.
Like every intro pack, "Dimir Dementia" totes several underpowered cards so that newer players can have an "aha!" moment after they open the two included booster packs and discover better cards than in the deck. The included insert suggests adding Mutilate to help control the battlefield and Undercity Plague, a powerful new card with Cipher. You'll also want to stick in a play set of Tormented Soul and Invisible Stalker.
