Auto-tuned emcee/singer Future has blazed a trail for himself with his style of coke rapping cut with triumphant, romantic crowing. His choice of beat? Either smooth and affective or hard knocking and fresh. Originally introduced to the world sounding like a cross between Lil Wayne and a neo-R&B singer, Future reuses techniques from his Pluto debut album for the Honest follow up. Not a whole lot is new here. Even though this album has fewer memorably-classic singles than the previous, if you like Future's style of swagger, you'll like this set. Loaded with big feature artists and Future's one of a kind flavor, Honest proves to be a fair yet predictable sophomore.
