Furry Friends offers the convenience of free home delivery of pet food, toys, and treats, plus the spontaneity of stopping at the store to check out their latest offerings. The company has been doing business in the area for 13 years now and continues to expand. They started out with home delivery of the finest quality pet food and now are celebrating the opening of their second store location. The original boutique opened in April 2012. It is located at 3170 North Stone Ave., just north of Fillmore and east of Nevada, and is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The newest store just opened at 3586C Hartsel Dr., near Woodmen & Rangewood, in the King Soopers shopping center. It's open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Both stores include a do-it-yourself bath area, and the new location even has a walk-in shower for larger or arthritic dogs that have trouble getting into a regular tub—the only one of its kind in town. The bath house at the new store will have its grand opening the weekend of Valentine's Day with great specials.
The core product from Furry Friends is its Pet's Healthy Choice food, manufactured in the USA specifically for Furry Friends, with no wheat, corn, or soy. In developing this brand, Furry Friends worked with a pet nutritionist and designed all the different food blends. They also carry a wide variety of holistic and allergen-free foods for pets with different needs. The owners and employees are very knowledgeable about different types of food and treats and are available for free consultation to help customers decide what food they should use.
The Furry Friends stores host low-cost vaccine clinics, anesthesia-free teeth cleaning, holiday pet photos, and other events throughout the year. The company also gives back to the community through its support of local nonprofit animal rescue organizations including National Mill Dog Rescue.
