Four Day Weekend

Comedy group Four Day Weekend is 17 years and still running strong. Not surprised that with performances every Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM and 10:00 PM they are often sold out. You can purchase your tickets over the phone at (817) 226-4329 or on the website.

It is a popular venue as a place to celebrate adult birthdays, date night or entertaining a group of friends. Most of the troupe members have been with this group since its inception. The majority of the shows follow the same format, but it is improve, so every show takes off in a different direction. It is interactive in that the audience is asked to write down a word on one piece of paper and a partial sentence on another. These are then pulled at random and the show is “built” around these. Unlike most comedy shows, sitting in the back of the room does not exempt you from being pulled for a skit. There are three different skits where audience members are pulled and included in the show. Don’t worry it is usually pretty painless. And you may even get a song written and performed about your life – no extra charge for this. It is an hour and forty-five minute show with one intermission. Another major difference from other comedy clubs is that they do not have a drink minimum. Please note that this venue is for persons 18 years of age and over. This is a hilarious show that will have you laughing and talking well after the performance is over.

In addition to the show, Four Day Weekend is has developed a Training Center for aspiring comedians. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at comedy, here is your chance. They offer five levels of training beginning with "Intro to Improv" and growing from there. Each level is 8 weeks long, meeting on a weekly basis. For more information on class dates and pricing, visit their website.

Four Day Weekend was just named "Small Business of the Year" by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
