Recently, I was introduced to a new online jewelry store that has some of the most fun, fashion jewelry ideas for summer - so naturally I had to share. I’m talking bright funky colors, super-unique designs, and some really, really great jewelry for really great prices.
Westy’s Family Trading is owned by a husband/wife team and all of their items are handmade in Denver, Colorado by Skyya (the wifey part of the team), who is remarkably talented. I absolutely fell in love with their jewelry because each piece is so unique. I love knowing that I’m not ever going to encounter someone wearing the same one. I’m also a sucker for big, fun, bright colored fashion jewelry. So either way - this site rocks.
Gauges and Faux Gauges
Westy’s Family Trading has an awesome selection of really unique gauges and faux gauges that are made from polymer clay which is super light-weight and really comfortable for your ears. These pieces come in a variety of styles and colors, some of which are glow-in-the-dark. I absolutely love the color combinations and because their designs are made to order, you can decide on traditional post earrings, gauges (which stretch your earring hole) or faux gauges (which just make it look like you've stretched your earring hole).
Other Earrings and Jewelry
If the gauges and bright colored clay pieces are a bit too funky for your style and you like things toned down a bit more, they also have a great selection of other metal and stone jewelry. The collection includes a variety of bracelets, earrings, and necklaces made from other beautiful materials like turquoise, amethyst, mother of pearl, zinc and abalone. The styles in the metal and stone collection, range from stylishly simple to delightfully detailed.
Westy’s Family Trading will also be launching a brand new line of Steam punk-inspired smoking accessories in addition to their fantastic jewelry collections. I have been lucky enough to have had a sneak preview of these new accessories and I love them! They're beautiful, creative, and unique just like the jewelry.
Check out the slideshow to see some of their awesome pieces or head over to their website. Items start at around $7.
