Fresheast in West Hollywood serving up deliciously healthy Asian food!

Looking for a way to eat healthy without sacrificing taste? Well fresheast in West Hollywood is the perfect solution! Serving up amazingly delicious food from the entire Asian continent, owner Ravine Hiranand has successfully managed to create a completely green restaurant with healthy food that tastes amazing, without the use of any salt, butter or nuts. That's right. All of their dishes are perfectly seasoned using the numerous spices of the Orient, so absolutely nothing is lacking in flavor. On the contrary, every dish is extremely fresh and flavorful.

Hiranand is originally from Hong Kong, of Indian parents, so he definitely understands Asian cuisine and what it takes to make it great. But apart from making it delicious, he also wanted to offer Angelenos a way to be able to enjoy the utmost quality in ingredients and produce without breaking their piggy bank. Fresheast offers jidori chicken for just $8.95 and organic salmon for just $12.95, the most expensive entree you'll find on the menu. Hiranand makes sure to only use the finest, freshest ingredients he can find and does this the most affordable way possible.

Fresheast is all about being green from the food down to the decor. From the New York subway tiles on the walls, to the floors made of wood from an old warehouse in Long Beach, tables made of reclaimed wood and lighting fixtures made from old rooster cages, Hiranand makes sure not to let anything go to waste. Talk about eco-friendly...the plates are even biodegradable!

But aside from knowing fresheast is doing the environment good, the great thing is you can also do your body good. Hiranand says he wanted to accomplish a way for people to feel satisfied after eating without bogging them down. In fact, he says some people mention feeling energized after eating at fresheast. From the spicy garlic noodles (which you shouldn't order if you can't handle spice), to the Miso chicken and the Goa shrimp to the Korean bbq sandwich, made with beef from Harris ranch, everything at fresheast is packed with delicious flavor.

One of my favorite dishes was the Larb Gai bowl, jidori chicken, red onion, cilantro, mint, lettuce and rice noodles...it's a Thai delight...perfectly citrusy and very flavorful! My other favorite was the Emperor's Lamb, made with California pure lamb, onion, red bell pepper and green onion, an excellent dish especially if you love lamb.

Fresheast also has a wide selection of Asian beer to accompany your meal, as well as wine made exclusively for fresheast by Eden Canyon Vineyards in Paso Robles. You can get them for half the price during happy hour from 4 to 7 pm. If you want something a little more cleansing, fresheast also offers up fresh juices from their juice bar. And for dessert, they also make their own sorbet. The comice pear sorbet is absolutely divine!

Fresheast is located at 8951 Santa Monica Blvd., inside the Pavillion's complex in West Hollywood. Just look for the relaxing bamboo water fountain in front. For more information, call 310-859-9989 or visit their website at www.fresheast.com. You can also order for pick up online. Enjoy!
