The bomb has FINALLY dropped... Frank Ocean's "Pink Matter" remix featuring not only Andre' 3000 (of OutKast) but also Big Boi (of OutKast) was released last week after Big Boi announced via tumblr that he'd be joining Dre' and Ocean on the record a few weeks ago. This means we officially have an OutKast reunion on wax, on air, and released into the atmosphere.
I wouldn't lie to you, if I hate something; I say it. If it's "eh" okay... I say it and if I love it... I SAY IT. I LOOOOOOOOVE what Big Boi has added to the song. The natural chemistry that Big Boi and Dre' have is almost palpable in this record. After listening to the first version of "Pink Matter" that ONLY included Andre' 3000 then listening to the updated remix that features Big Boi as well, it's almost like witnessing the once slow crooned ballad(esque) type record come to LIFE!! Big Boi's verse made my body temperature rise a bit with his blatant sexual references... and made me go back and listen to the entire song a few more times to see if ALL 3 artists were talking about the same subject... and they were. It's crazy how I never really paid attention to just how sexual the song really is. *fans myself*
"...Or she could make it clap like I told her, or make her a** spread like the back of a cobra...." says Big Boi; (mild compared to some of the other lyrics...) and I LOVED every second of it.
