Presented on New Year's Eve, with two great evening shows, Zanie's Comedy Club Rosemont, Fortune Feimster took over the stage with a great act, wowing her crowd from start to finish. She is an accomplished sketch comedienne, gracing comedy stages nationwide, from Los Angeles to Chicago to her hometown of North Carolina, while also holding a steady, lucrative gig as a full time writer/performer on the E! Network's popular 'Chelsea Lately.'
Zanie's comedy shows are enjoyed by all, each night featuring a lineup of the funniest, most entertaining performers, (this side of Vegas!) complete with snacks, drinks and dinner. Even the most seasoned of comedy/improv fans here in Chicago are in for a real treat, with comedians, storytellers, magicians and musicians, each one unique, clever, witty, joking and commenting on timely topics of the day.
The evening I attended, I was privileged to be entertained with delightful quips presented by Fortune Feimster: "My name gets confused with 'Precious, Charity, Gracious... anything that sounds like either a stripper or a unicorn!" "My name is Fortune, I came out of a cookie." When deciding whether to be a stand up comic or a UPS driver, she said "I picked comedy because I don't look good in brown." She is truly spunky and amazing... so quick on her feet with insightful wit. The variety of entertainment presented at Zanie's upholds its 35 year established place and reputation in Chicago's comedy circuit. To a great start to the New Year, 2013, check them out! 3 locations.
