Hungry Jack Belgian waffle mix

We recently received several samples from Hungry Jack to try. One of the samples was for their Belgian waffle mix. We have a waffle maker, so we could not wait to try it.

The instructions were simple...just add water. As I opened the packaging, the smell of vanilla filled the air. I measured the mix and added the water as I preheated the waffle maker. I tried this recipe when I was in a high altitude location and often things do not bake properly, so I was a little worried. I had nothing to worry about because these waffles came out great.

We like to add pecans to our waffles so we chopped them up and added them right after we put the waffle mix on the waffle iron. That way they get a little toasty.

The waffles were light and fluffy. The insides baked properly and nothing was grainy. We make homemade waffles all the time. This was the first time we used a mix. I have to say, I would buy this mix again. It was easy enough for a non-cook to use and come up with perfect waffles. Thank you, Hungry Jack, for giving us these delicious waffles and for making them so easy. We will be having these again soon.
