Since the beginning of Dave and Buster’s time on 42nd street, its been known to be a place to go play games and have fun, but recently their food menu has grown to include many of the food you would see at TGIF or Applebee’s along with their own signature dishes.
Dave and Buster’s allowed me to taste some of their signature dishes and appetizers. I had the Calamari, Poppin Potatoes (fried/crispy on the outside, light on the inside, bite-sized potatoes puffs, with garlic and parmesan cheese), Pretzel dogs as appetizers. For an entrée I tried the Island Grilled Trifecta, which included Teriyaki-glazed steak skewers, chicken breast and shrimp, with rice and pineapple pico de gallo. Now the food like I said before is very TGIF ish but it stills needs work. The rice is bland and the beef is dry. But you have to try the pretzel dog, it’s a must try.
Overall, its cool that you can go to Dave and Buster’s just for the food, they have so many options it’s a bit overwhelming. The menu is literally 6 to 10 pages long front to back! For specials go on Wednesdays, they have 50% off games, also happy hour from 4:30p to 7pm. It’s also a great place to host a holiday party; they are offering 20% off currently. Food overall is 3 out of 5.
