These two events last night brought me over to central Maui. First Friday always has a few live music stage set ups and vendors line the street with their food and wares. It's a fun way to see friends and enjoy a stroll down the street. Their was massage, and lots of jewelry and of course there is always lots of food.
I didn't stay long because I headed to the MACC for Art Mixx night which was also a free event. This event was a multi media event that included DJ, Live Music, and my favor food vendor, Three's from Kihei who once again catered, as they did for the Leon Russell show last week. They had one of the tastiest sushi rolls I have ever encountered. You have to make your way over to this restaurant on South Kihei Road. They have earned their way into my top three favorite restaurants on Maui for their inspiring recipes.
Kihei Cafe, which is also on South Kihei road, served up tender corn on the cob for $4.00 and it was a nice addition to this intriguing event.
I highly recommend you make your way over to the MACC and see what has been created in the Gallery there.
I am not going to tell you more about that now, but they are open every day except Monday, 10-5.
I plan to interview the young man who spent a month building this .... well it's hard to describe... and in fact, I want you to be in for a treat and a surprise, so trust me and go.
If you need details you can google the MACC and from there the Art Exhibit and get the information that your mind craves or you can do what I did, just show up and be surprised. I have been back there twice now, and plan to go in early Nov. for the deconstruction week.
You will learn more about this project later, when I interview the young man who created it. Be prepared to be awe struck.
Leaving you with a surprise. Our minds are getting too bogged down with information and information systems, and your spirit wants a surprise, so I will let it be this because, I am stunned by what I discovered there.
Have a beautiful week end.
