Figue Restaurant (Photos)

The grand opening of Figue Restaurant started off with great drinks. A lavender and white wine concoction made just for the occasion by Sommelier Celeste Cotta was handed to me as I walked in the door. From the valet to the girls at the door, the servers and even Executive Chef Francois de Melogue, I was welcomed like a close friend. You had your choice of seating arrangements. There were couches, small lounge areas, outside patio and long communal tables. the lighting was different as well, wherever you looked up there was a diverse light fixture.

The variety of food, and drinks were amazing. I started out with a steak tartar that just melted in your mouth with a crispy pastry underneath it. I could have taken the Harissa almonds home with me, they were the perfect snack with a little heat that made them perfect to eat with your drink. Had to try the Margherita Pizza next, ummmm perfect appetizer. There was a lamb rolled in a pastry that was awesome and many more small bites to try all night long.

With the drinks and trays coming all night long it was a very stimulating evening and I can’t wait to go back soon and try more dishes. With the Mediterranean atmosphere, the welcoming personnel and the comfortable seating it is a place that will be in the desert for a long time for us all to enjoy.
