Demons have invaded your world, and now you must journey across a dangerous landscape to defeat these demons. In Shadow Rising, you play as Kai, a warrior with extraordinary fighting skills and special powers. You use your fighting skills and special powers to defeat the demons that want to conquer your world. As your fight these demons, you gain experience points. When you gain enough experience points, you could level up. With every level you gain, you are given 1 skill point and 5 attribute points. You use these points to develop your skills and increase your attributes. Among the skills you have available are flame, mist, wraith, lotus, and oni. Under these skills are subsets of all kinds of skills to defeat your enemies, and all of them do some serious damage. Also under your skills are special finishers that can finish enemies in a flash. You have four attributes to increase: Strength, Defense, Vitality, and Spirit. After you have learned the finishers, you place them in five slots on the HUD, and then you click on the slot to use the finisher. You can also use the 1 through 5 keys to perform the finishers. Using the finishers requires soul power, which is displayed on the HUD, and using a finisher does take alot of soul power away, so it's best to use the finisher when alot of enemies are around. Shadow Rising is a pretty nice game, and the controls are really easy. Some of the enemies do provide a challenge, but with good timing, you can defeat them. So go ahead and take on the demon world with Kai, and take these demons back to where they came from.
