During the set, the energy was so great between Fear Factory and the fans, an uncommon occurrence for a venue such as the Whisky, that a few body surfers started coming up form the crowd. Trying to walk around the oversold, 400 capacity, two floored venue, deemed impossible but everyone showed to be having a great time.

Fear Factory covered an extra long, extra special, 18 song set, which included hits, 'Shock', 'Powershifter' and 'Linchpin'. Nine songs in, the band covers Gary Numan's 'Cars' (watch that video here) to which you would think the show would be coming to an end, but then the band announced they're only halfway through their set which made the the sold out show ecstatic and ready for more. As they brought up that the show was coming to a close, they named the song to be performed was 'Replica,' and the audience screamed in excitement and sang along.

Fear Factory is about to join 70,000 Tons, a Metal Cruise January 26-30 out of Miami followed by some studio work.

The Whisky continues their month long celebration with NAMM Metal Jam on January 23rd, Bumblefoot of Guns 'n Roses on the 24th, Faster Pussycat on the 25th, the Bangles on the 26th and several more acts through the end of the month.
