It was a week of of glitz, glamour and fabulous fashions. Nothing less to be expected from Fashion Week New Orleans which celebrated its fourth year of producing the Gulf Coast Region’s most impressive and comprehensive fashion industry event. With an engaged and captive audience inclusive of buyers, media, industry professionals and fashion aficionados the mission of the annual event was accomplished in shining the spotlight on the Gulf Coast design community to showcase their inspirations.
With over 50 designer and boutique runway shows, Fashion Week New Orleans is clearly the catalyst and driving force that has propelled the local fashion industry into capturing the attention from the rest of the fashion world. Fashion Week New Orleans has played a significant role in building and establishing New Orleans as a fashion city that is now recognized globally in the same manner the Crescent City has been for the authentic cuisine, musical talent, and distinctive culture.
The five-day event took place March 18-22 at New Orleans Board of Trade, as well as chic locations such as Harold Clarke Couturier Showroom, The Saint Hotel, which hosted the kickoff party, and Gravier Social Club where all fashionistas gathered after the runway shows to for nightly after parties. Hosting a fete' of events that is most pleasing to every tastemaker's palette. Fashion Week New Orleans definitely brought out your inner fashionista!
