For the first Family Fright Night there is only one thing buzzing around my head, “Eerie, Indiana,” a show about a young boy, Marshall who family moves to this bizarre town where paranormal events are everyday events. The show only lasted one season, at least that is what Netflix streamed and had various topics as aliens, people using Tupperware to remain forever young, aliens, werewolves etc.
Eerie, Indiana was the ‘it’ show for kids supernatural interest. In fact it was a G rated predecessor to Supernatural since much of the experiences that Sam and Dean have were experienced by Marshall and his best friend, Simon in a tame family friendly format. They even had an episode where Marshall did not set his clock back for Daylight Savings time and ended up in an alternate universe.
The series lasted thirteen episodes but it was excellently written and there were several notable guest stars including Danielle Harris, @halloweengirl who earned her bones as a scream queen by the age of ten. She is best known for playing Jamie Lloyd in Halloween but most recently she co-stars with Kane Hodder in Hatchet as Mary Beth.
