Set in the land of Farsala that tells the story of Sorahb the great hero, is the story of three young people’s coming of age in a time of war in the first book of the Farsala Trilogy Fall of a Kingdom (2003).
Jiaan is the illegitimate son of Commander Merahb, Soraya is his half-sister the rightful daughter of the commander and Kavi is local peddler. Because of each person’s position in life, they are disliked by the other two.
Jiaan, Soraya and Kavi see Time’s Wheel turning while their leaders deny it. They know Farsala is heading towards the Flames of Destruction. What is not known to them yet is how important they are to survival of their way.
But they need to work together when their land is invaded by a new enemy. They also need to draw on the legend of Sorahb.
