My family visited the KC Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze in Gardner, Kansas, on October 23, 2010, and had a terrific time. We saved money on tickets by buying a weekends-only combo pass online that gave us admission to the corn maze and the family activities at the pumpkin patch. I recommend the KC Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch to other families in the Kansas City area looking for fall outdoor entertainment for kids.
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of activities for kids. The website advertises “over 50 activities.” I would say that most activities at the KC Pumpkin Patch are geared toward younger children, ages 9 and under. My 5 and 8-year-old especially enjoyed the corn maze, zip line, and slides. When we left, they both said they wanted to go back the next day.
The KC Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze is open through October 31, 2010. Visit their websites for the most up-to-date information on ticket prices and special deals. Or call (913) 484-6251. A half-price military discount is offered. Kids under 1 are free at the pumpkin patch, and kids under 4 are free at the corn maze.
The KC Corn Maze and KC Pumpkin Patch have separate websites, but they're located at the same place in Gardner, Kansas, right off of I-35 (7 miles south of Olathe). From I-35, take exit 207. Turn north on Gardner Road, and take the first left onto 191st Street. Go ¼ mile to the KC Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze entrance on the left.
