On Sunday, February 19, 2013, at 6:00 p.m., talented fashion designer, Michael Thomas debuted a preview of his fall 2013 collection “Faithful by Michael Thomas.” The event was held at the beautiful and fashionable Showroom 77, located in Center City, Philadelphia. The event was filled with guests in anticipation of the preview of the fall 2013 collection. The night was made complete with hors d’ouvres and beverages served to guests throughout the presentation.
When the models walked out to present the clothing designed by Michael Thomas, the guests attention immediately shifted to the designs. The line is full of beautiful and sexy pants suits and dresses for women. There is something in store for men also, trendy suits complete with a black shirt with sheer sleeves and shoulders. The line consisted of black, white, and deep blue hues that make this collection fall ready. Michael Thomas stated that the inspiration for this collection was a play on male/ female androgyny. That is clear with the classic, yet sexy pants suits designed for the women in this collection. However, Michael Thomas is still staying true to his classic aesthetic and still creating gorgeous and uniquely draped dresses for women.
This collection fits into the fall 2013 theme. There are a lot of designers who are playing with androgyny and black and white seems to be the new theme or “it” colors for fall 2013. Michael Thomas is a young designer, age 22, from Philadelphia, PA, and has shown his collections in Philly Fashion Week in previous seasons. It’s amazing the talent that comes from Philadelphia, and Michael Thomas is surely talented and it shows through his “Faithful” collection every season!
