AMAZING!
...ok, I better write more. Where has this author been and why haven't I run across her work.
The work building is stellar, Delle Jacobs plops you right back in time; a time of kings, castles, knights and Faerie.
Medieval England has never been quite so delicious now that we get to meet Philippe le Peregrine, the kings best man; tall and broad shouldered with locks of golden hair. Almost as beautiful as his bronze skin and rippling male muscular form. It is no wonder Leonie of Bosewood has admired him since she was a mere lass. But now she is grown, a wild and untamed beauty with a secret that no one must ever discover; for she is a half-ling, part human and part Faerie.
Philippe has his own secrets...he has chosen a vow of solitude and celibacy, asking that he never be forced to take a wife. Why? He is now finding it difficult to keep this vow... when Leonie's wild spirit and strange beauty tempts him so...
You must read the book to find out more. I really loved the journey Delle takes us on. The book flows at a heart thumping pace, keeping you waiting for each word uttered to find out the path of our characters. Faerie does get quite steamy in a few parts, but I could have used even more of the Philippe le Peregrine and the brazen Lady Leonie!
