Nekrogoblikon Headlines Mirror Image with DMT & More (Photos)

Face melting Metal was on tap and flowing at Mirror Image Studios in Anaheim on Feb 15th. The lineup for the night included: Officially on Vacation, Dawn of Eternity, Carnivorous Bastard, Our Own Accord, Ascendency, DMT, Nekrogoblikon , Paradise In Exile, and Invoke the Wake.

As a fan of music it is always great to see the bands you love, but the icing on the cake is bands that you hear for the first time and become a fan of. At this show I was new to many of the bands. I got to see DMT, one of my favorite bands that I've been a fan of and the source of my interest for this show. If you have not seen them or heard them, check them out. Their sound is Progressive/Psychedelic/Metal and they are hard to the core. They are a strong powerful band who has a resume that is just as strong. Opening for such acts as Korn, Fear Factory and Killswitch Engage, this band has more than proven they are metal worthy. Meet the boys: Jamie Rubel ~ Vocals, Alistar Valadez ~ Bass/Vocals, Dave Valadez ~ Guitars, Sean Dove ~ Guitars, and Erick Daniel ~ Drums. Now that you have met them see them live. They put on another powerful and killer set at Mirror Image.

Dawn of Eternity is a band hailing from Anaheim, CA. Eddie Corona - Guitars/vocals, Mike Basquez - Drums/vocals and Javier Quinto- Bass are the ultra heavy power trio known as Dawn of Eternity. I was impressed by their aggressive "in your face" style and performance. It was the first time for me to see this band and I would see them again.

Alex-Vocals, Julian - Guitar, Eric "Shrek"-Bass, Bobby-Guitar, and Vic on drums are “Taking all styles of Metal and crossing them over effectively” ... this is Our Own Accord. This was another band that I saw for the first time. Those boys killed it taking the stage and owning the set. I found my way moving up front and being a fan during their set, something I won't normally due if I'm not into the band. I recommend them to every Metal band

Ascendancy is: Gustavo Trujillo - Vocals, Lead Guitar - Garrett Bower, Lead Guitar - Ian McLaren, Bass - Jimmy Durish, and Drums - Brodee McLaren. This heavy metal band is young, aggressive, and a must see. The guys are working on an album currently and performing around SoCal. This is another band I recommend and I know I will be hitting another show.

Nekrogoblikon: All I can say is WOW! They blew me away and if you choose to see only one new band this is the band to see. Nicholas Von Doom - Vocals, Keyboards, Tim Lyakhovetskiy - Guitars, Backup Vocals, Goldberg (Alex Alereza) - Guitars, Backup vocals, Fingers (Brandon Frenzel) - Bass, Bready (Eddie "Drifty" Trager) - Drums and Raptor (Aaron Minich) - Keyboards are the band Nekrogoblikon. In case you are wondering what the the band is about here is what they say, “ We are a band about the many wonderful demises of mankind.” They are out touring and kicking ass. They are also working hard on a new album. See them at a show and I promise if you see them once you will become a fan.

Mirror Image Studios put on a great show of Metal bringing together the hard-core music lovers and giving them what they wanted; a night of in your face metal. Check out all the bands and as always hit up a show and support local music.
