YD "Power Mixtape

MIXTAPE REVIEW:Cutting Edge! That's the word that describes The Legendary YD. He is an emerging emcee out of Wisconsin. The rising lyricist recently released his anticipated debut project called "Power." This mixtape is raw, gritty and fantastic. His Wisconsin swag, slang, and unpredictable flow put YD in a lane of his own.

The "Power" project is a tour de force loaded with relentless beats and hard core lyrics. "Power" captures the true essence of Hip Hop. There are catchy hooks, quality production and plenty of food for thought on the mixtape.

YD delivers vivid lyrics and smooth flows over stellar production. His skillful wordplay and witty metaphors paint precise pictures. And his cadence and penmanship are top-notch. His unique selling proposition is that he's not afraid to be himself and he incorporates many of his life's experiences into his music.

"Power" contains 14 tracks of explosive songs. Each song stands out in its own right. Highlights of the project include "Nothing" featuring Kane-O and the "Stripper Chronicles." Producers on the Mixtape include Wonya Love, Victory Captain Hook and more. "Power" is the manifesto of a rapper who has a lot to give and even more to gain.

YD has put his stamp on the rap game with his laid-back confidence and boastful attitude. It is only a matter of time before YD’s fearless authentic sound makes an impact internationally. YD continues to push the envelope through refreshing sounds and he dares listeners to evolve with him. YD's "Power" will be heralded as one of the hottest independent street albums to be released in 2014.
