Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator

Luminous, even looking skin is something every luxury beauty brand campaigns to women of all ages worldwide. Estee Lauder's Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator is one product that promises to do so. This serum is said to dramatically reduce the look of uneven skin tone which includes:

  • redness
  • darks spots
  • acne marks
  • sun spots
  • discoloration

According to proven Estee Lauder Research, Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator will help correct redness in the skin instantly, leaving your skin looking fresh and radiant.

I received this product for my birthday in a kit that included samples of Hydrationist Moisturizer, Advanced Night Repair for the face and a Sumptuous Mascara. The Idealist is a full size 1.7 oz so I have had plenty to use in the past month.

Estee Lauder categorizes this serum as a day serum, meaning you should apply this in the morning before putting on your makeup. It is specifically formulated to work on your skin throughout the day and protect it at the same time.

The packaging of the product is something I love. The square bottle comes in an icy blue color with a gold top. The serum itself appears to be gold as well and the minerals and light reflecting agents are visible.

I have been using this serum for over a month and am pretty content with my results. I was using it every day before applying my moisturizer and makeup but have now switched to using it every other day. For some reason my skin has been extremely dry this winter and the only thing I have changed in my routine recently was the Idealist. I have combination skin and I feel as though this may have made some of my dry areas a bit more dry than what they normally are.

Aside from that issue, I have noticed a reduction in the acne marks that I have around my jaw line. They are not completely gone, but there is a noticeable difference as to how much lighter they are now than they were before.

Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator has no scent to it and will not irritate your skin. It is formulated for all skin types and is best applied before your moisturizer in the morning.

I honestly do not see myself re-purchasing this product because I fear that it is drying out my skin. I would still recommend it to anyone looking to even their skin tone because it did help reduce spots and give my skin a natural glow to it.
