Off Limits is an interracial erotic romance that is short, yet definitely a delightful read. My only regret is that is was not long enough. I wanted more of the characters and their love story. This short read packs a serious passion-filled punch.
Synopsis:Jake knew Selena was trouble from the first moment he saw her. She's smart, funny, and sexy as hell, and he aches every time he gets near her. But she's also his best friend's sister - so he is determined to stick to the "look but don't touch" policy. But after a wild evening out, Jake is ready to admit his true feelings - regardless of the consequences.
Usually reading these short novellas, the author takes too much time to get to the sex because they are too busy setting up why the main characters are in love. Which is a sacrifice for a novella; especially if there is a mediocre sex scene thrown in.
Stella Noble has written her short story in a way that lets the reader know that her characters have known each other for awhile. Her characters are believable. She not only tells, but she “shows” how the characters react to each other. I believe in them, which is why I want more. And that my dear reader is a very good thing.
And not just one sex scene, but two with almost a third added in. That to me is the mark of a writer who knows pacing well. She gives just enough background to gain the reader’s trust, and when the two characters consummate their love, the reader can believe why they fell in bed so fast. She can definitely pen a very steamy, passionate tale of love.
Bottom line, this short read is a recommend to buy.
