Marked is an erotic romance with BDSM elements. Well more than elements, one could call this book a BDSM, but it comes off more of a character study of how one woman finds herself being manipulated for a greater good.
Synopsis:
When Faye wakes up after a lust-filled night and finds herself tied to a man she thought belonged to someone else, she realizes there’s a lot more to her friends than she could have ever imagined.
Being Mated to an Immortal isn’t all it’s cracked up to be however. Of course, the sex is hot and just plain amazing, but she needs more from Jake. She just hopes he’ll come to realize this before it’s too late…

This is a good story, except as a reader I needed more information behind the Immortals and what they actually are. Their story is not explained enough and here is hoping that the author will go into more detail in book 2 as to why they are not vampires? It is nice when an author has out of the box thinking when writing about something different, but a little more back story would have helped and I felt it was a missed opportunity on the author’s part.
I felt a little like the main character Faye. Jake and his brethren, Chris and Sofia would not give her full disclosure and this had her trying to investigate more on her own about what they are, which she still did not find out per se.
With that said, the level of eroticism is extremely high. The BDSM scenes are detailed and provide a great mental picture. Jake is definitely an Alpha male who loves his woman and will do anything to protect her.
Bottom line, this is a good start to a series, which will hopefully flesh out what the Immortals are.
