It is a story characterized by murder, drugs, corruption and betrayal within the family and society as a whole.
Conversely, Pacman, a Sarangani lawmaker and a potential peace negotiator under the current Aquino administration for the resolution of the more than four decades of chronic and sporadic high intensity conflict with the New People's Army and the Muslim rebels in the Philippines, would like to portray himself in the best of Al Pacino, the leading figure of that film, both attire and dramatic acts.
Prompting the Pacmanian culture, there will also be visitors and guests who will wear 'The Godfather-look' outfit.
But, is this really a fitting theme or image for the golden-hearted, godly icon of the Philippines?

I read somewhere that Pacquiao has a murderous, dark side in him. Now, the godfather thing is a manifestation of his true character. He has the natural filipini politician character: corrupt, murderous, gangster and mafia. His brother is a murderer and jueteng lord in his place....
The Godfather for Pacman is just a concept or a theme for his party, nothing wrong with that. I love that movie also and even name my son Corleone. Godfather movie is not just about violence, its also about how a poor man became powerful & rich. Perhaps that part what inspires Manny.
