What I’m impressed about with Draper’s & Damon’s is that they make a very varied and well-made collection under their own label. This pretty embroidered coat falls right under that category.
This 100 percent cotton coat requires dry cleaning, which is understandable with all the embroidery, which is done in India. Actually, the embroidery is very similar to that found on kashmiri shawls, of late called “pashminas” by the Brits.
The embroidery on this coat is done in a chain stitch and the mainly pink, red and purple color combination is gorgeous against the black background. It features a stylish “mandarin” collar, often found on Indian national clothing.
The buttons are also cylindrical red glass beads with a millefiori pattern in complementary colors to the embroidery.
The coat’s armpit to armpit measurement is 22 inches, with the sleeves being 24 inches and the shoulder to bottom of jacket measuring 26 inches.
It’s true to size and jazzes up a simple outfit of t-shirt and jeans – just put on a pair of cute pumps! Love this coat!!!
