Elderberries Cafe is a little slice of vegan heaven tucked away on Sunset Blvd. between N. Curson Ave and N. Sierra Bonita Ave.
The food and drinks are made from scratch on site (increasing the wait time, which seems to be the only critique Elderberries' customers on Yelp have voiced), and the fare includes vegan, organic, and raw food, along with smoothies, coffee/expresso, and fresh juices.
The ingredients are gluten-free, they use no soy, their coffee is biodynamically-grown, and Elderberries also uses Sensitive Baker Products. Their in-house made desserts are to die for.
Elderberries also boasts an impressive little New Age library for customers to lose themselves in, and has a little stage for live music, new age workshops, and comedy shows.
Check out this vegan haven whenever you have a chance! Highly recommended are the Elderberry juice, grilled cheese sandwich, avocado panini, chowder, nachos, the made-in-house bagels, and any dessert of the day.
(Little Bonuses: They have an actual parking lot behind their quaint establishment, a rarity for many Sunset Blvd haunts.)
