Dallas is in love with the taste of Mexican/Tex-Mex food. In particular, the appetizing tacos. We love stuffing deliciousness into tortillas and taking a big bite. However, instead of grabbing an authentic taco or three from a taco stand, we usually settle for the tacos at restaurants. This could be for convenience, the luxury of having table service, or for sanitary worries. With El Tizoncito, we get the whole package. El Tizoncito has taken a taqueria stand to the next level. Enjoy authentic fresh tacos in this spotless, brightly colored, table service taco-stand-style restaurant.
El Tizoncito’s originality doesn’t stop there. Instead of being greeted with the customary chips and salsa, you’ll be welcomed with a small bowl of flavorful black bean soup. We were then offered to try the guacamole and chips – do not let these past by! We also asked for steak quesadillas to start off with.
For our main course, we had tacos of course! They are traditionally served in small corn tortillas topped with chopped pork, beef, chicken, chuleta or pork al pastor. We went for a mix of pork, beef, and chicken. Spicy red salsa, tomatillo sauce, chopped onions, cilantro and other condiments are also provided to add as you please.
We decided to have a flan for dessert. Needless to say, this was a very sweet way to end the deal.

Bottom Line: Friendly staff, though not the most attentive. Yet, the food is great from appetizer to dessert. Consider stopping by El Tizoncito to satisfy your next taco craving.
