I know you are probably wondering what the antique writer is doing writing a review about a restaurant. Well, actually there is a connection, so let me explain.
Eden's Garden Cafe is a fabulous restaurant that has opened up in Robbins, North Carolina. The owner, Terri Holt, was born in Robbins. Her family purchased the old structure where her restaurant is located, and went about an extensive remodeling project. In what used to be an old retail space, they have transformed it into a lovely eatery. They also remodeled the two apartments upstairs. They are beautiful! They took the time to restore the old flooring, and had them sanded and oiled.
As you can see in the photos, the decor of her restaurant is all about vintage. She loves antiques and vintage items, and you will see them throughout the cafe. The best part of all, in addition to her duties running a new cafe, she also throws pots! She is a very talented potter, and turns pots for Owens Pottery. Owens Pottery is the oldest pottery in the state, and has their shop and studio just a few minutes outside of town, up the Pottery Highway, NC 705.
Eden's Garden Cafe features natual and organic foods, locally raised beef and pork, and lots of freshly baked goodies like breads and cakes. They also have the best hot coffee around for those of you that aren't into the espresso kind. Chef Eric Bishop creates daily specials and the Soup Du Jour. They do not fry anything on their menu. Sounds good to me! They are open Tuesday through Friday from 10:30am to 7:30 pm. They serve lunch and dinner. Check out the photos with the story to see the lunch and dinner menus.
