Flight, feathers and fascinating features nest comfortably in the World of Birds: Eight Disc Set, capturing all the majesty of what many consider to be one of the last lingering creatures from the time of the dinosaurs.
Beautiful detail and brilliant cinematography highlight all eleven documentaries as viewers are taken everywhere from Venezuela to Australia in search of everything from Southern Lapwings and Thick-Knees, to Darwin Finches and the mysterious African Bateleur Eagle.
This series contains a staggering amount of information – even though certain docs clock at only 25 minutes – and should provide countless hours of enjoyment for both book report seekers and bush-whackers alike.
As with other disc sets brought by Topics Entertainment no “Special Features” are included on any of the discs, but after viewing all 7+ hours of amazing footage the impact felt by the missing features is about as forceful as a Tawny Owl plucking up its prey.
So with graceful elucidation and an Ostrich-sized amount of information, World of Birds: Eight Disc Set is a bevy of bird-watching fun.
