Nov 26, 2010 - Fans of film noir will be interested in the recent DVD release of director Steve Balderson’s movie Stuck!
Stuck! is the story of Daisy, a young woman wrongly accused and executed for killing her mother. Following the characteristics of film noir (most popular in the 1940s and 50s) Stuck! was shot in black and white and its plot includes the basics of the genre: false accusations, betrayals, a sadistic female warden, cynical attitudes, and forbidden relationships.
Balderson, originally from Kansas, attended film school at the California Institute of the Arts. He produced Stuck! last year in Georgia. The film was then premiered this February at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and has been showing in the film festival circuit since its release.
Stuck! is 95 minutes long and available for purchase online (search for code: UPC 631008071497) and at video stores.
