One of the hottest Sci-Fi Supernova’s since The X-Files, Fringe: Season 2 perpetuates its unstoppable stellar storyline arcs, expertly blurring the sometimes imperceptible lines between science fact and science fiction and granting audiences an illustrious series with intriguing twists.
Fringe’s central cast – Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble – shine in their respective roles, spearheaded mainly; surprisingly enough, by Noble who’s quirky-smirky fantastically flawed Dr. Bishop is so expertly crafted in both speech and spasms, that Torv and Jackson are hard pressed to compete.
Season 2 brings more mystery and danger to Fringe Division, pitting the team against shape-shifters and dream-trippers, Olivia finally meets the enigmatic William Bell and learns that she is definitely not alone in this; or any other, world, Fringe division must find the source of an explosion that apparently has no origin, the team must investigate a Russian Astronaut believed to be possessed by an alien, an invasion of squid-people, an unforgettable musical episode, and finally closing out the season Walter and Olivia visit “the other side”, but only one of them makes it back.
The disc extras offer even more answers to burning questions about the series and “The Unearthed Episode” should make for must-see viewing for loyal fans. So whether its time jumping or shape-shifting, from rabid hosts to root-beer floats, Fringe: Season 2 is one remarkable fiction addiction.
