Duke Nukem Forever

Duke Nukem Forever

Maybe Duke should have just stayed in his duke cave or be delayed for another 12+ years for more development.

I went into to the game with maybe too much expectation. I was under the impression this was going to be a great game just like Duke 64 and was looking for good game play and a lot of blood. I will give credit where credit is due. Gearbox’s and 3D Realms have the right idea for a Duke Nukem game. But fail to deliver what fans were looking for. Like i said earlier I was mainly looking for Gore and humorous lines from Duke and great gameplay.  There was maybe a few funny things that made me laugh but I was expecting more. This game is rated M for reason. Probably for the amount of boobs you see threw out the entire game.  I like to rate my games from a scale 1 to 10. 1 standing for don’t even bother and 10 buy the game as soon as you can. Duke Nukem forever gets a solid 6. The reason I rate it so low is for several reasons. One being there is no replay value what so ever. The game was incredibly short and the guns were a huge joke. Another thing that was disappointing was that you could not switch to your fists to beat someone to a pulp. Not unless you’re out of ammo or you take steroids.  And also seems like there is only 2 different styles of executions that did not mount up to nothing. The graphics is fair but it reminds me of Doom3 or quake 4. Also I only played this on PC and was very annoyed that you have to spam the crap out of the space bar to lift doors or to finish a boss. It’s just a minor thing but to do it every five minutes gets old. If you are a old school duke fan. I would recommend buying the game. The graphics are ok gameplay for the first hour is fun. But if you are a hardcore first person shooter and want multiplayer experience this is not the game for you.

Ever since he could remember, Andrew has always been into games, no matter where he was or what time of the day it was. He was always playing games or thinking about games. Let's just say he always brought spare batteries for his TI-83 calculator. Andrew's friends think he's a harsh critic when...
